Rifilias approaches the Town Hall, intent on speaking with the Lady Mayor about the founding of a carpentry guild in London. After 30 days of study at the Library he has been able to produce a few fishing rods and and a spare ax, but it has become increasingly obvious that working alone is far from efficient. Having an apprentice to cut wood would cut the production of each fishing pole by one day.
Long days in the forest and the woodshop give a mind plenty of time to think. Rifi had imagined apprentices providing [selling] the wood and food for the guild until their promotion to journey'an [level 2]. The journey'en would study the craft at the Library until ready to produce their own products [after 30 days]. The journey'an would then be required to produce one ax and one fishing rod to present [sell] to an apprentice in order to become a Master Crafter [level 3].
He checked to make sure his notes were in order and made a second check to ensure there was no sawdust on his clothes. He stepped inside, hoping the Mayor would greet the idea with equal enthusiasm.
