| Rhiannon thanked the Guard who had led her here from the Privy Gardens, and her first meeting with the Queen. As she walked away, she closed the door behind her.
Looking around, she let her eyes wander over the room. As First Lady-in-waiting she was in a position close to the Queen, and thus had been given lavishly appointed lodgings to reflect that title.
She felt rather small and out of place, this was far more grand than their home in Kent or her family Estate. Rhi knew from the way the Queen had looked her over at their first meeting that it was likely she would soon be outfitted in a manner proper to be at the Queen's side.
Thinking on outfits, she realized that she had not brought anything with her to see the Queen, not realizing she'd immediately be given apartments. Rhi would have to return home... not that she minded, only a few hours and she already missed Henry, knowing he was so far away, wondering what he was up to today in London. Whitehall seemed so removed from the city in which it lay.
Finding a writing desk, she penned a note that she was going home to collect some personal belongings, in case someone came looking for her.
Returning to the door, she retraced the path she'd taken here with the Guard, only needing to ask for directions once. Her carriage was called and she rode back into the city, towards Henry.

| A little, old and friendly lady came in the chamber of the First Lady-in-waiting. She bowed and then brought over her message for the Baroness.
Milady, the Queen asks for your presence at her chambers.

| Rhiannon had arrived at the Palace not many hours before, early in the morning after her stolen night back in London with Henry. She was unpacking her belongings... two servants had brought the bags she had brought from home, a few of her dresses mainly and a few personal items.
The room felt slightly less cold and impersonal now that a few of her trinkets lay about... a comb that had been a gift from Henry, her embroidery on the table.
Then a woman arrived informing Rhi that the Queen had called for her. She took a moment to thank the woman then straighten her dress and insure her hair was under control before she moved down the corridor to the Queen's chambers... wondering what Her Majesty needed.

| Rhiannon tried hard not to dash from the Queen's apartment, sent on a task to send Henry a letter. When she arrived behind the doors of her apartments, she rushed to the desk where her writing materials lay. Quickly she wrote the letter to Henry. - Rhiannon wrote:
- My Dearest Henry,
The Queen has an appointment for you here, which will enable you to live at Whitehall, so we may be closer.
Please come here as soon as possible to speak with Her Majesty.
With all my love, your Rhiannon
She folded and sealed the letter and addressed it to Henry, looking with a smile at the formal outside which held a casual and loving missive. Walking outside, she found a guard and gave him the letter. "Please send this to the County offices, to Baron Grey, Treasurer of the County of Middlesex. It is on urgent business for the Queen." The guard nodded and ensured her it would be done immediately. Rhi returned inside and waited for news.

| After the unexpected death of Queen Marie Therese, Rhi had been called back to the Palace.
Reluctantly she had left Henry and gone to perform her duty, swearing her loyalty to the new Queen. When everyone had left, Rhi had gone to her apartments.
She looked about the room.. wondering if the young Queen and the Lady Regent would allow her to stay on here. She did not know the new Queen, Elisabeth, well.. but Rhi had grown fond of the late Queen in their time together.
A letter was brought to her by a servant, from the Lady Regent. Rhi read the note, and quickly sat at her desk to pen a reply.
When the letter was finished and sealed, she passed it to the guard to be swiftly delivered to Lady Catherine.
Then, she lay upon her bed... missing Henry desperately already, but knowing that if he too kept his position that they might see each other around Whitehall.

| The door softly opens and the girls head looks around the door into the room. As Catherine had left to London now Elise came to seek company with her lady-in-waiting. She enters the room, looking around. Then she sees Rhiannon laying on the bed.
Elise silently goes to the bed and climbs on it, carefully looking if she was sleeping or not

| Rhiannon had been lost in thought, missing Henry and wondering if the new Queen would want to keep her as a Lady-in-Waiting. Then she heard her door open.. soon a weight joined her on the bed.
Sitting up, her blue eyes soon found the young Queen there. She blushed for a moment to be found laying about, but then gave the young girl a soft smile. "Hello, Your Majesty... How are you?" she asked Elise in her slightly accented voice.

| Elise sees that Rhiannon is awake as she opens her eyes, Elise smiles back to her.
I am fine, thank you, and you?
Elise was a curious girl so she couldn't help herself from asking. Were you sleeping?
Before she had given her lady-in-waiting the time to response Elise already had left the bed again and walked towards the window to see how the view was in this room. She liked to look to the gardens and dream away, of course being in the gardens themselves was better but you can't always be outside of course.

| "I am fine, thank you. I was not asleep, just thinking... so very much has happened recently. Life here in the Palace is far more exciting than where I grew up."
She stood from the bed and joined Elise at the window. "I always enjoy the view from this room... it looks like a lovely day outside. Would you like to walk in the gardens, perhaps?"

| "No, I grew up quite far away, in Wales... at a place called Trawsgoed. It was a very big house, but no palace."
She smiled at Elise's reaction to her proposal of a walk in the garden. "Let us go then, while the sun is still warm.."
Rhiannon walked with the young princess towards the Privy Gardens... there were guards close by always, but they took care to stay behind the Queen and her Lady-in-Waiting, so the two could enjoy their walk.
