ROYAL DECREE I – ABOUT THE RELIGION OF THE ENGLISH KINGDOMS; ENGLAND, SCOTLAND AND IRELAND
We, Her Royal Majesty Marie-Thérèse the First, Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland, believe that the people of our Kingdoms should posses the freedom to believe what they want. By consequence from this day, there shall be freedom of religion in our Kingdoms, respectively England, Scotland and Ireland. Every citizen shall be able to believe what they want, if there religion meets following requirements;
1 – There shall only be one God, multiple Gods shall not be permitted, for we believe that the believe in multiple Gods is an offence towards the Holy and Almighty God of Saint George’s Church, that remains the official Church of our Kingdoms, England, Scotland and Ireland. 2 – The religion shall not criticize other religions that meet the requirements that are mentioned in this decree. 3 – The devil, or the evil in general, shall not be worshipped, otherwise this will be seen as heresy and be trialled. 4 – The religion shall not try to convert others by using physical or verbal aggression.
We also let know that the Holy Church of Saint George’s shall remain the official Church of England. Therefore only believers of Saint George’s Church shall be able to have a seat in the Parliament. The protection that this decree offers will not be applied to those religions, cults or sects whose predicts or acts are contrary to our kingdoms laws and morals or against the person of the Sovereign or it's family.
Signed on the 20th of March, 1648; Her Royal Majesty Marie-Thérèse I | |
