| Well, since the Old Bishops IRL Bible was normally was only for temporal use, I have decided to start writing a bible: Saint Georges Bible! I'd like to have your opinion, please don't be to harsh. You'll see that it's based on the IRL Bishops Bible, with some changes and extras. - Quote :
Liber Primus Chapter I : The Creation
1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. He decided that the earth would be a globe, as He found this the most perfect of all forms. It was vast and dark, and covered with deep waters.
2. And God said: let there be light. And light appeared, provided by the sun, which he had created to lighten his creation. He saw that the light was good, and decided to name it day. The darkness was named night. In order to create a balance between the two, he decided that from that moment, light and darkness, day and night, would succeed each other. Thus the first morning was born. But he noticed that the balance between the two was not complete. The day had the sun to provide the light, but the night had nothing but darkness. Thus he created the moon to restore that essential balance.
3. Wanting to test his creating, he created a stone, and threw it in the water. He noticed that it sunk, and understood that no truly solid thing would be able to live above the waters. And thus he created the land.
4. But the land was rough, empty and vast, just like the earth had been at first. So he created mountains, rivers, lakes and rocks. He overlooked his work and determined that it was still too empty. So he decided that there would be flowers, grass, trees. He decided that this last creation would be able to reproduce, so he gave them seeds to do so.
5. God overlooked his creation once more and noticed that once more, there was something missing. He thought, and then decided to make a man in His image, after His likeness, and so He did, using for it one of His ribs. But he saw again that there was something missing, that the balance was interrupted once more. So he decided to create a woman from another rib. With this he restored the balance again. And although appearance was different, their heart was the same, and thus they were equal. They were the first children of God.
6. He looked down at his children and saw that there was something missing. They were lonely, alone in a world of rocks, stones, trees, flowers and so on. So he decided to create the animals. First he created the animals of the water; great whales and fishes and other water creatures. Then he created the animals of the air; eagles and falcons and other air creatures. Thirdly he created the animals of the earth; sheep, dogs, cats, corms and every other thing that creeps upon the earth. Afterwards He decided that they would have the ability to reproduce themselves, and so they had.
7. Then the evening fell and He sat down on a mountain and over viewed His work. And doing so He saw it was good. Thus he had created the earth, in only one day, for He was not bound by time or the limitations of our kind.
