Coat of arms' requests Empty
PostSubject: Coat of arms' requests   Coat of arms' requests EmptySun Mar 13, 2011 2:57 pm

In the Royal Heraldry Palace, the new King of Arms had ordered the establishment of a hall destined to receive to those noble ones who brought requests of validation of coats of arms, or would ask for creating one. In the hall there was a lot of expensive furniture, and a red persian carpet lays in the floor. Pictures of ancient Kings of an old and distant time could be admired in the walls, and everything rested in silence in that place…

A messenger arrived holding some papers in his hand. He was sent by the Lord High Steward.

Quote :
Your Excellency,

Hereby I want to see being confirmed the following coat of arms, as they will represent my function as Lord High Steward of the Kingdom of England, Scotland and Ireland. If there must be made some modifications I ask you to make them as they will accord with the Heraldic rules of the Kingdom.

I thank you,

The King of Arms recived to letters that afternoon. Quickly, he went to his office in the Heraldry Palace, he took his feather and wetting it with the ink in a little bottle on the table, he responded the letters:

Quote :

    Coat of arms' requests Ilagp3

To His Excellency Charles-Edouard, Regent of Middlesex:

Noble Regent, I translated the facts of your family tree and I adapted the document to te English customs and format. However, I didn't translate the noble titles of you and your family, because they are foreigners titles, and I think that they should be unaltered. I annex to the letter a copy of the modified document. If you agree, I will include it inmediatly in the "Noble Houses Registers". I consider that yours is a English Noble House that must be recognized: your work and the fact that you have been Mayor of London, and now you are Regent of Middlesex, is enough to recognize it as such.

About the coat of arms and the seals, I know that only Earls have ornaments (crown and mantle in blazon) that represents their position. Unfortunately, there isn't specifics ornaments to Regents of a County. But, obviously, you could have a coat of arms because you have a position. I could be your House's shield "parti", with something that represents Middlesex in the second part. What do you think?

To His Excellency Frits Frederic Bazain, Lord High Steward and Lord High Chancellor of our Kingdom:

Mylord, that coat of arms is totally correct. I will add it to the registries inmediatly. Do you need a smaller copy of your coat of arms for the top of the letters you send?

    Signed,

    Sir Gweddry.

Your Excellency,

I have to thank you for the quick answer! And yes, it would be nice if you could reduce it so I can put it at the top of my letters and other official documents!

With kind regards,

His Excellency,
