[ENTRANCE] The Palace Gates - Page 3 Empty
PostSubject: Re: [ENTRANCE] The Palace Gates   [ENTRANCE] The Palace Gates - Page 3 EmptyWed Jan 13, 2010 1:00 am

Simon was delighted to receive such a quick reply from one of the guards, even if this meant he would have to wait to be acquainted.
His previous memories of dealing with the castle gates were those of very long and annoying waits. It was very obvious how much the situation had improved, and one would only find it natural to highlight this fact.

Thank you good man, I shall wait then.

It's early morning. The sun is rising in the sky, but it's rather cold outside. Robrecht is saddling his horse for a most exciting morning ride. He plans to go to the royal palace in the centre of London. He has heard rumours about the new princess and is prepared to offer his services.

He straightens his new costume and jumps on his horse. And off we go ... up to the castle of Whitehall.
Once he arrives at the castle he gets of his horse. He takes the reins in his hand and walks to one of the castle gates. He greets the guard by taking of his hat and making a light bow.

Greetings. I’m Robrecht Samuel Spencer and I would like to speak to the person in charge of the staff, and more specifically the responsible for the teaching of the young queen.

Robrecht waits patiently till the guard speaks to him.

William greeted the man and opend the gate.

You must be looking for the High Lady Regent, she is having an audience at the moment so you can enter.

He showed the man the way and closed the gate again. Then he went to his cabine, it was much to cold to stay outside.

Robrecht walks through the castle gates and admires the painting. The guard gives him directions, but he didn’t really listen, because he was so occupied by studying the painting. The guard left and Robrecht immediately regretted not listening…

After walking into a closet, Robrecht knocks on a door. A servant opens the door and Robrecht enters the room. The room is empty. The servant asks him to sit down to wait for the High Regent.

As Catherine was having her daily audience as the High Lady Regent, she ordered the next visitor in after the one before left the Great Hall. This one was going to be the last one for today and she hoped that it wouldn't take that long, since she still had to do a lot of other work in her private offices after this. But even with that fact, she wasn't going to treat the last visitor any different than the others before.

The doors of the Great Hall were opened again and as Catherine was seated on the throne, she waited.

Edward is feeling very nervous. He received a letter from the princes herself to come to the palace.
He was curious what the purpose was of him coming to the palace but when a princes invites you, there is no way you can say no.

Arriving at the gates Edward was a bit intimidated by the guards, though he knew what he came to do here so he approached them.

Good day to you sir,
My name is Edward I come her on invitation of the princes.
I was summoned here by her letter.

Edward shows the letter to the guard.

Could you please let me in and show my way to her?

It's oooooooooh so quiet.
It'a oooooooooh so still.
You're all alooooooone
And so peaceful untiiiiiiiil...

… a man appears at the gates and rudely disturbs your usual afternoon nap.

The Guard looked up, grumpy and sleepy. Surprisingly enough there was actually a visitor standing in front of him. He took his halberd and tried to make a good impression. He wasn’t used to guests anymore. The Palace was very, very quiet these days, and he could hardly imagine the amount of dust that was laying on the floors and the closets.

Well erm… The Princess you say?

He bowed over to inspect the letter he was holding. It did look real with the signature and the seal and all. He decided tot let him pass, so he could return to his little nap and dream on about candyland, which he had been about to enter when he was waked up by the man.

Well, you can find Her Highness in her private office, close to the Great Hall. It shouldn’t be that hard to find… Well sir, go on please. We still have some erm… important stuff to deal with.

He nodded, and let the man through.

Edward takes a good look at the guard. He doesn't really look that awake, Edward wonders how the palace can be guarded by such people.
Though he is a visitor here so he wont do anything about it. And wont do anything about it, yet.

He smiles at the guard and waits till the guard tells him the way to go.

Thank you sir,
I wish you all luck with those very important 'stuff' you have to deal with.

Edward walks the way the guard tells him while looking around very well.
That guard wasn't the best kind of guard. He must be dealt with, but that is for later first to the princes!

PostSubject: Re: [ENTRANCE] The Palace Gates   [ENTRANCE] The Palace Gates - Page 3 EmptySun Mar 28, 2010 3:08 pm

Travels, Frits never travelled in his life as much like those last days. Hey came from far... Guernesey, an island where a Prince and his council decided to turn their back to the crown of France, who decided to go further alone, like a few month ago. Frits was with them, he saw everything, he accepted their decisions and helped them with some kind of... thongs. But never, he wanted an independence. He said that he has to go because of a lack of time. That he couldn't assume no longer his functions, and he said that he wants to travel... Lies, yes, last month the Prince of Guernesey forbade him to travel, forbade him to go to Paris to see what was happening there.
Anger, he was full of anger when the "Prince" said that to him. His liberties, his will to see other regions of France disappeared. Since that moment, he decided to leave everything he had in Guernesey. His house, his "friends" -all fervent attached guys to the Prince and his dreams of independence and revolution-, his possessions... With only seventy louis and some bread he left Saint-Pierre-Port and went to Eu, Amiens and now, he came in London, England, Kingdom of liberties and liberalism.
He had a plan, search contact with the Queen, search for help. He speaks French... English... Even Dutch if he want. And a little bit of Spanish and German. Languages are his favourite matter.

The Palace could be seen at the entrance of London.. What a building. That castle in Guernesey was nothing compared with this beauty. Never he was here before, in spite of the fact that he lived on an island which belonged to the crown of the United Kingdom... Arrived in front of the gates he looked for a guard and went to him.

Sir... I'm here to see a higher authority, to speak about things which could interest the English crown. A smile appeared on his face.

Another guest. Hooray! Was Whitehall Palace becoming active again? Did God finally hear his prayers? And if so would he also finally give him that pretty girl he had been praying for for months? A little sneer appeared on his face. That would surely be nice! Anyway, back to the present, the gates of Whitehall Palace and the guest. He needs to speak with Royalty. What a coincidence: the Palace was full of Royalty! Another smile appeared on his face, he sure loved his own jokes.

Well then, Sir. You seem to be in the right place. But would you first be so kind to give me your name please?

The guard was enjoying the good weather, it was not raining. Rain was something that didn't make it so nice to stand here outside. He saw the bishop arriving and hurried to open the gate.

good day Your grace
Please, follow me to the thrown room, I'm sure the high lady regent will see you soon.

then he accompanied the bishop to the right room and announced the nice man.

He has written a letter to the Lord Protector of the Kingdom of England, a letter with a proposal, a proposal of help. He considered that the Kingdom was to motionless, that nothing happened. There was a mayor in London, he was the only one who tried to let live the city a little, but on institutional level... The Regent was the only one, trying to motivate the people in the Kingdom, but nothing happened.
Frits Frederic was determined to help the Regent in his task, he wrote a letter where he offered his help to the Kingdom and now he had to come to the Palace to meet Lord Protector Robrecht Samuel Spencer.
Wearing his emerald green suit, he arrived at the gates of the palace, asking the guards to let him in.
