[RP] St Paul's Cathedral

Right after they entered the Cathedral, they sat down on the first bench. Roberto walked towards the altar end search the things he needed for the babtism. It took him a little while before he had gattered everything, because it was a bit bigger here then in the parochialo church. Then he walked back to the three ans spoke.

Well, let us begin the ceremony

Father Roberto walked with great joy to the baptismal font. The young Queen, the High Lady Regent and the High Lord Constable followed him.

Before thes women are to be baptized, let we, who have already entered the Divine Grace recite together the Holy Creed:

(any who have already received baptism are welcome to join in.)

We believe in one Lord,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in the Pascal Lamb,
the only Son of the Lord,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

We believe in one holy, sacred and divine Church of Saint George.

We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.

AMEN.


After he had sung the Creed, he Looked at the young women before him. Father Roberto asked in a serious tone

I present to this congregation EIisabeth Howard the I and Catherine Steward.
they hav come here to ask for forgiveness of their sins, to accept the Divine Grace, and to enter into our Holy Communion through baptism.
As is spoken by the apostle St. Matthew in his gospel;

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Now it is time for you to speak your vows before those gathered and before the Lord.
Listen carefully an answer the following questions seperately and honestly.

Roberto took the note with the vows and read them out loud

Elise walked next to Catherine and sits down next to her. She looks around in the cathedral. It was the first time she was here and so there was a lot to see and discover. the building impressed her even though she was used to live in the palace.
She feels the nerves going trough her body as she walks to the baptismal font and holds Catherine's hand tightly.
When the holy creed is said she listens carefully and tries to memo rate it. But it would take a wile before she would know it by hart.
When Roberto looks at them and talks to them she even gets more nervous but she listens carefully. Then she answers the questions that he asks.

A big smile appears on her face when Roberto ask her to say the vows for bear too, her nerves calm down also now.

Oduan sighs when Elise starts to baptize her bear. He whispers in Catherine ear.

Bet that soon we will be calling the teddy Sir Bear and bowing to him....

And smiling he turns again to the ceremony

Then Roberto turned to Catherine and asked her.

While the others are having there conversation Elise looks fascinated around in the cathedral. To all the paintings, the coloured windows...
Until Oduan mentions her. She wouldn't mind going to Altuna mannor either but she feels they want a serious talk. And it was time for bear to take a nap so maybe it was better to go home.
But before she goes to oduan she goes to father Roberto and gives him a hug (she still had to learn much about how she should behave in public.)

Thank you for baptising me

She goes to Oduan and takes his hand. When she walks out with him she turns around and waves to Cahterine and Roberto

Churchmas on Christmas Eve
24 december 1649

Outside it was dark.
Winter had fallen upon London.
The last days it had been snowing a lot,
So all the streets, squares, roofs and trees were white.
The moonlight gave the city the look of a fairytale.

Bishop Roberto was busy in the Cathedral of Saint Paul's.
Tonight there would be a special ceremony.
Not only was it Christmas Eve, where we celebrate the birth of Christ.
Today there was also the rebirth of the Kingdom to be celebrated.

The church was decorated with pinetree, mistletoe, candles and other stuff.
Roberto stood by the entrence waiting for everybody to arive.

It was going to be a special night.

Hearing the bells of the Church Tisha leave the house to watch the ceremony. She don't want to miss something like this. Now that she's baptized, she feels the need of being closer to God.
She already made the food the cookies, cleaned the house, now she can receive guests and peoples who came with carols. The snow and the lights from the town make every corner of the town to be like a painture, it is a novel image.
As she was aproaching to the Cathedral the snow begun to fall again from the sky. the town was quiet in a second and in the next one the childrens camed outside to enjoy the falling snow. There was no wind, the weather was perfect.
Finally arrived at the entrance of the Cathedral she reconizes Father Roberto who was standing and receiving the peoples. Bows.
Greetings Father, glad to meet you again.
Then she looks around and enjoys the beauty of the Church.
The decorations are wonderful.
Stays there a couple of seconds to admire and then enters and silently takes a place and waits for the ceremony to begin.

On the way to church, Newheaven feeling the Christmas'harmony: people are happier, more generous, more kind one to another. Carols are heard everywhere. "Everything is so beautiful" thinking Newheaven.
In the church, the carols are heard celestial. "Sounds like a choir of angels sing..."...is wondering Newheaven.
Lady meets, after a while, Father Roberto: "Hello, Father! I'm Glad to see you. I want to talk something with you ...I would like to baptize me as soon as possible. It's very important for me to know that I am baptized. Anytime you have time, Father!"
Happy that she spoke with Father Roberto, Newheaven admire the way the church was decorated, admire the beautiful icons, listen the carols which seem to be foundation of the Christmas, looks around her and enjoy the spirit of Christmas
