Rhiannon had been called to attend the Queen in her chambers and she promptly crossed the halls from her own chamber to the Queen's. The Guards outside the Queen's lodgings had been told what the new First Lady in Waiting looked like, and recognized her from her description, let her into the rooms.

Calling out softly, her voice tinged with the barest hint of accent...though she had spent much time among the English and lived in Kent for some time with Henry, her mother tongue was Cymraeg, and she could never completely sound English
. "Your Majesty? You called for me?"

The Queen was just writing a letter when she heard doors opening. She laid down her pen and stood up to see if it was Rhiannon, for who she had called. Her presumption was correct, it was he First Lady-in-waiting. She had been away, Marie-Thérèse suspected that she went to London. According to her informants her man lived in the city.
After some thinking, she had decided to invite him to the Court. If he really was the son of the former Earl of Kent, the least she could was invite him. She would have a conversation with him, she already had something in mind. If he agreed, he'd be living in Whitehall Palace, this would be easier for both him and Rhiannon.
She smiled to her First Lady-in-waiting.

Good morning. Sit down, I need to talk to you for a second.

She pointed to a couch in her personal salon, of which the door was open.

Rhiannon tried not to appear nervous, wondering what the Queen wanted. She knew well enough that even her night's absence from the palace would have been noted, though she'd not thought a trip home to get her belongings would have been forbidden.

Following the Queen's direction into the salon, she took a seat.
"Good Morning Your Majesty... I had something I'd wished to ask you myself, was just in the process of writing you a note on the matter when you called. But of course, Your Majesty's concerns first."

Rhi looked at the Queen, who was smiling at her, so she hopefully thought that meant something good. Her hands folded in her lap, she waited anxiously to hear what the Queen had to say.

The Queen fold her hands, like her First Lady-in-waiting, and started to talk.

I know where you have been last night, and I want to ask you to first ask my permission before going out of the palace, or at least warn me. But this is not what I wanted to ask you, actually. It's about your husband, Henry if I'm correct. I know that you'd both like it to live closer to each other. Therefore Id ask you to invite him, I have a special offer for him.

Rhi felt a small bit of blush form on her pale skin, for all the world feeling much younger than she was.. as if she was at Trawsgoed and being lectured by her mother for some infraction.

"My apologies.. I did leave a note, Your Majesty, that I was going home to collect my things but.. I will be certain to ask in the future." Rhi kept her tone remorseful and not petulant when she replied that she had indeed left -some- warning. The young woman was new at Court, and would take her orders as they came.

As smile crossed her face as the Queen told her she wanted to invite Henry to court.

"Thank you your Majesty, Henry and I living closer was indeed the topic on which I had wanted to ask... I fear we have been apart very little in our marriage and it is.. unfamiliar and hard on us both. It is also much to my shame that I have not yet performed my wifely duty and given him a heir, something that would be impossible if we stayed apart..."

Though she indeed wanted to give Henry an heir, knowing how much it would mean to him, that was not the only reason she wanted to be close... she was still very much in love with him and her heart ached when they were absent from one another . "I would very much like to have him closer. If it suits your Majesty, I will invite him at once. He'd asked for a letter from me this evening anyhow... if I send it quickly the messenger may catch him at the County Treasury offices."

The Queen smiled again, glad to see the gladness at the face of Rhiannon.

Of course, write him immediately Wink
I don't know much about your husband, but the post I was thinking of was rather a military one... I would like to appoint him a Captain of the Royal Guard. Do you know if he'd like that?

Rhi smiled and nodded. " Henry is fiercely loyal to the crown...what could be more of an honor than to help protect Your Majesty. I think he would like that very much."

It was suited to him, and it would enable them to be closer... that was what mattered to her.

Marie-Thérèse smiled, glad that she liked the idea. She pointed to the door and winked toward Rhiannon.

Well then, go and write your letter quickly! Wink

The Queen was sitting at her desk, reading a letter of a girl in Guernesey. She had contacted Marie after the taking of Guernesey, hoping to improve the relationships between England and the Isles. She had kept on corresponding, as well as another man living in Guernesey, and the Queen began to like her. It was an honest girl, good intentions, and she seemed very loyal. Not like those other people, who only wanted to fulfil their needs and their hunger for titles.

Reading this letter of her, Marie-Thérèse sighed. That cruel so-called prince seemed to grow worse very day! She closed her eyes and thought about what to do. Ramsay had insulted her, the Queen, in several ways. He had used the statement of ‘fighting for God’ to gain himself lands and titles, although it was clear that the only thing that he worshiped was might, power, influence. Now, he had trialled the girl, as well as the man, saying they had betrayed him.
She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at the paper. Then she took a decision, considering France’s actions, and started to write. Not one letter, but several.

When she was ready, she stood up and looked at her dressing room, where her maids were busy preparing everything for her journey to France. She smiled and the moved to one of the windows, looking at the people that were working in the Palace.

Elise runs into Marie's bedroom, as she would be here. She didn't even stopped to knock on the door.

MARIE, MARIE
We are going to England, and we go dressed up
you have to come too

She started pulling Marie's arm to get her up. She was excited about this and had no time to wait.

Marie was kinda busy writing when suddenly her door slammed open and a little monster... ow wait no it was her little sister... crashed in. She raised an eyebrow and looked at the young Queen. Then she put on a smile, which was more like a grin actually, and stood up.

To England, Your Majesty? i'm sorry to disappoint you but... We already are in England. Do you mean London, my dear?

An eyebrow went up once more before she answered to her younger sister.

Well, little Elisabeth, aren’t we dressed yet? Or don’t you like what I’m wearing?

She grinned, curious for the response of her sister, who clearly was so exited that she seemed able to wet her clothes any moment.

Elise sees her sister rising her eyebrows, what was there now?
When Marie asks if she isn't dressed yet she shakes her head. Why didn't she understand? She had already said they would go dressed so nobody would recognises us. And about if she doesn't likes the clothes she is wearing... Marie always wore pretty clothes, how could somebody not like them?

nooo,we are not dressed good, not this clothes
other clothes so people won't recognise us.
We go in disguise.

Come...

She pulled Marie's arm again, why wasn't she comming

The Princess sighed. She just couldn’t refuse her little sister, and she wasn’t permitted to refuse something to the Queen herself, of course. A smile showed up on her face and she let Elisabeth guide her.
« Elisabeth, what exactly are we going to do in London? »

« Clothes to disguise in? »

Marie-Thérèse sighed. She wasn’t really into costume parties and all that. Well, but maybe they could borrow some of clothes of maids in the palace. A little sneer appeared on the face of the Duchess, the kitchen maids would certainly have some normal clothes for them to borrow.

« Well, let’s go to the kitchen. I’m sure that the maids would be glad top help us out with this. »

Surely it could be dangerous if some one would recognise them. But how big was that chance? Only very few people had already seen the little Queen ‘live’, so there wouldn’t be too much people knowing her, probably. As for herself, she figured that a large hat or maybe a cap would probably do the trick.
